Hello, and welcome to CyberChurch! It's an honor and a treat to see all of you here today and to share your fellowship.

Every so often, we have an open service, a time of sharing. There is nothing to compare with a personal testimony; it both encourages and enriches the ones hearing it, and also strengthens and blesses the ones sharing it.

So as we pray and sing together, be mindful of what Jesus means to you, and during our 45 minutes of sharing, share this reflection with us.

Everyone please stand to your feet as we begin this service with prayer.

Lord God, thank you for being here with us today. Thank you for who you are, and for the difference you've made in our lives. I ask today that our hearts would beat for you today, as we consider what you mean to us.

Be here in a mighty way today, Holy Spirit, as we remember your Word which tells us we will "...overcome him (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of (our) testimony..."

And it's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Click-touch the pulpit for a notecard and let's worship God together with song.

LORD YOU'VE BEEN SO GOOD

Lord, you've been so good to me
you gave me sight when I was blind
You showed me light I could not see
you brought me truth I could not find

Lord, you've been so good to me
you paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord you've been so good to me!

And so I praise you in the morning
and I praise you in the night
For you are my Salvation
 you are my guiding light
So I give you my everything
I just can't give you less
When you sent your Son to love me
 you gave me your best!

Lord, you've been so good to me
you set my feet on solid ground
You rescued my life from the grave
when no other help could be found

Lord, you've been so good to me
 and I could never repay
All the love you gave so freely
Lord, you've been so good to me!

And so I praise you in the morning
and I praise you in the night
For you are my Salvation
 you are my guiding light
So I give you my everything
I just can't give you less
When you sent your Son to love me
 you gave me your best!

Lord you've been so good to me
Lord you've been so good to me (better than I deserve)
Lord you've been so good to me
you paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord you've been so good to me

Lord you've been so good to me
Lord you've been so good to me (you're good all the time)
Lord you've been so good to me
 and I could never repay
All the love you gave so freely
Lord you've been so good to me

And so I praise you in the morning
and I praise you in the night
For you are my Salvation
 you are my guiding light
So I give you my everything
I just can't give you less
When you sent your Son to love me
 you gave me your best!

You gave me your best!
You gave me your best!

Lord, you've been so good to me.

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord
for he is worthy to be praised
Shout with the spirit, clap with your hands
our God is worthy to be praised

Hallelujah - our God is worthy to be praised
Hallelujah - our God is worthy to be praised

BECAUSE YOU'RE ALIVE

I live, I live, because he is risen
I live, I live, with power over sin
I live, I live, because he is risen
I live, I live, to worship him

Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus!
     Because you're alive,
     because you're alive,
     because you're alive, I live!

YOU ARE MY ALL IN ALL

You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all

Seeking you as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all

Jesus, Lamb of God
 worthy is your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
 worthy is your name

Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising again I bless your name
You are my all in all

When I fall down you pick me up
When I am dry you fill my cup
You are my all in all

Jesus, Lamb of God
 worthy is your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
 worthy is your name

Thank you Jesus, and amen!

You may be seated.

I trust you've begun to think of how you will share what Jesus means to you. I hope you'll take the liberty of sharing what God lays upon your heart to share. This isn't a time of sharing criticism of some type of "Christian religion", but a time of sharing what your relationship with Jesus, and what Jesus himself, means to you.

I'll begin, and then I'll take a seat. If you would like to share, please send me an Instant Message saying so, and I'll call on you one at a time.

I grew up without a father in the home. Because I had no father figure at home, statistically my chances were higher of ending up in prison for various crimes, or ending up with a gender crisis, or simply becoming a wanderer through life with no lasting feelings of purpose and direction.

But my mother prayed with my sister and me every day, and read the Bible to us. It was always understood that God was to me the father who was missing in the home.

Even though I've strayed, the Good Shepherd Jesus didn't leave me to die in the desperate places into which I led myself.

Looking back upon my experiences, I see so clearly how God has indeed been my father. He has given me loving correction when I was headed in the wrong direction; he has given me comfort when I was going through dark times and had no one to hold me; he has never withheld from me his immediate and unreserved forgiveness no matter how many times I've messed up in the same areas; and he has always been right here with me, bringing provision when I didn't know from where the next meal was coming; bringing wisdom when I was in situations way over my head; and bringing the strong, warm, loving embrace only a good father can give to his son.

We all need these things, no matter how tough and self-sufficient we think we are. And whatever your need, God is able and willing to meet that need in the way that will fill that need most completely.

I know I wouldn't be here with you today if it weren't for Jesus and the difference he's made in my life. I've studied various world religions, and even tried to invent my own; but at the end of the day, religion is only a crutch you use when you don't have a true relationship with God.

And I end my sharing by saying this: What does Jesus mean to me? Jesus means everything to me. My marriage would not exist without Jesus, and could not be nearly as wonderful without him as the center of our love. My life would not have clear direction and purpose without my relationship with Jesus. He is the source of my joy, the center of my peace, the wellspring of my living, and the solid rock upon which all that matters in my life is built.

And that's what Jesus means to me!

Now it's your turn. Send me an Instant Message to let me know you'd like to share, and I will call on you one at a time. Then we'll all go next door for our time of fellowship, so nobody leave!
