God is sending me a stressful learning situation not sure what he wants me to learn. It involves tough love with my 19 old son, who is causing a lot of stressful situations in the house. He is bi-polar and has ADHD and has ODD. We had to kick my son out because his behaviors were getting too much to handle. God Bless you all !

SUCH LOVE

Verse 1:
See His love nailed onto a cross
Perfect and blameless life given as sacrifice
See Him there all in the name of love
Broken yet glorious, all for the sake of us

Chorus:
This is Jesus in His glory
King of Heaven dying for me
It is finished, He has done it
Death is beaten, Heaven beckons me

Verse 2:
Greater love no one could ever show
Mercy so undeserved, freedom I should not know
All my sin, all of my hidden shame
Died with Him on the cross, eternity won for us

Bridge:
 Such love, such love
Such love is this for me (repeat)

HOW HE LOVES

He is jealous for me
Love's like a hurricane, I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
and I realize just how beautiful You are and how great your affections are for me.
Oh, how He loves us so
Oh, how He loves us
How He loves us so.

Yeah, He loves us
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves.

So we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean we're all sinking
And heaven meets earth like an unforseen kiss and my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way

That he loves us,
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves

He loves us,
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves

HOW DEEP THE FATHER'S LOVE

How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
And make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the man upon the cross
My sin upon His shoulder
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Lord Jesus, as we look to Your Word, I ask that Your Holy Spirit would speak to us and guide our understanding of Your Word. I ask that we would get a new understanding of how much You love us. Show us this love that is stronger than any other. I ask that my words would be Yours and that this sharing time will be for Your Glory alone. In Your Name I pray, Amen.

Reading from Luke Chapter 23 verses 1-47 and it says

Jesus Handed Over to Pontius Pilate

1 Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King."
3 Then Pilate asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered him and said, "It is as you say." 4 So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no fault in this Man." 5 But they were the more fierce, saying, "He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place."
Jesus Faces Herod

6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean. 7 And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. 8 Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. 9 Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. 10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. 11 Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. 12 That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.

Taking the Place of Barabbas

13 Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, 14 said to them, "You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him; 15 no, neither did Herod, for I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him. 16 I will therefore chastise Him and release Him" 17 (for it was necessary for him to release one to them at the feast). 18 And they all cried out at once, saying, "Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas"— 19 who had been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city, and for murder. 20 Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus, again called out to them. 21 But they shouted, saying, "Crucify Him, crucify Him!" 22 Then he said to them the third time, "Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go." 23 But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed. 24 So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested. 25 And he released to them the one they requested, who for rebellion and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
The King on a Cross

26 Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear it after Jesus. 27 And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him. 28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!' 30Then they will begin to say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!"' 31 For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?" 32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots. 35 And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God." 36 The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, 37 and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself." 38 And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. 39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." 40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." 42 Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." 43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
Jesus Dies on the Cross

44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.'" Having said this, He breathed His last. 47So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous Man!"

In the passage about Jesus' trial and death, there are many things that theologians debate about, but there is one thing we know for a fact. Jesus died because God loved us!

John 3:16 says For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God did not give Jesus to die because we are His creation. He gave Jesus to die because He LOVED us! Such love! Such love The Father has for us!

Proverbs 10:12 reads hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.

Jesus' love covers our sin. He shed His blood to cover our sin. The ultimate act of love.

John 15:13 reminds of it that greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.

Jesus said those words. Not only did Jesus die for His friends, but for His enemies, too.

Jesus was mocked, scourged, bled, died for us all...while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. That's from Romans 5:8.

I want to take us on little mental traveling exercise because I want us to really get how much Jesus loves us. Let's go back to the day Jesus was returned to Pontius Pilate.

You are a man or woman in the crowd. You shout along with everyone else "Crucify Him!" and then watch as the Roman soldiers whip Him all the way to Golgotha.

You mock Him and laugh at His pain.

Maybe you are one of the soldiers whipping Him and then you drive the nails through His wrists and feet.

Maybe you are the betrayer Judas Iscariot.

Maybe you are the centurion who sees the Truth after Jesus dies.

Maybe you are one of the thieves dying with Him. Maybe the one that rebuked the other and you heard Jesus say you'd be with Him in Paradise that day.

Maybe your sin isn't as big or as bad as the betrayer. But it doesn't matter. Our sins may have nailed Him to the cross, but it was His love that kept Him there. He knew before His death that that was what God had planned.

Jesus could have called a legion of angels to save Him. He ha the power to come down from that cross. But He didn't.

It was all in the name of love. Such love He showed to us. To be beaten, scourged until He was unrecognizable. He could barely walk, let alone carry a cross.

He stretched out His arms and died for me, for you, for every man, woman, boy, and girl on this planet!

Are you living your life in gratitude to the One who saved you from Hell?

Does His sacrifice mean anything to you?

We are all deserving of Hell, but God made a way for us. For a sinning human being like me, He sent Jesus to die in my place.

All I can say is such love. All I can do is live my life so that God gets all the glory!

I will never understand the love God has for me, for you, but I know that thank you is not enough.

Such love God has given. Such love we see as we remember Jesus walking from the grave.

Do you love Him today friends? I know He loves you! Such love! Such wonderful love!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
