GLORY

Great is the Lord God Almighty
Great is the Lord on High
The train of His robe fills the temple
And we cry out highest praise

Glory to the risen King
Glory to the Son, glorious Son

Lift up your heads, open the doors
Let the King of Glory come in
And forever be our God

Holy is the Lord God Almighty
Holy is the Lord on high
Let all the earth bow before You
And crown You Lord of all

JESUS

Jesus, Jesus
Holy and Anointed One
Jesus

Your name is like honey
on my lips
Your spirit like water
to my soul
Your Word is a lamp
unto my feet
Jesus I love you
I love you

Jesus, Jesus
Risen and Exalted One
Jesus

I EXALT THEE

For thou O Lord art high
above all the earth
Thou art exalted
far above all gods

I exalt thee
I exalt thee
I exalt thee
O Lord

Father God, I ask if they share what is on Your heart and mine, that You would speak to those here who are unsure about why people cry during worship. And that they would listen to Holy Spirit speak to them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today's sermon or I'd call it sharing what's on God's heart is titled Emotional Worship. Worship is an important part of being followers of Jesus and children of God. Our relationship with our Heavenly Father grows as we worship Him.

I will tell you right now that we make a choice to worship God. We have a choice to draw near to God and in drawing near to Him, He draws near to us (James 4:8).

We need to have a mindset of worship. To be able to focus on God at any given time and to feel His presence. To understand that worship is more of a heart matter than about what song is sung or not sung. I must admit, for myself, there are just certain songs that take me into the holy place, into the place where Jesus is.

Some of you men out there must be growling and saying "I'm a man! I don't cry or show emotion in public. Not at home either!"

A society seems to believe that a man cries, he's weak! Jesus wept. If he weak? Let's read why Jesus wept. In John 11 verses 34-36 it says And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus wept. 36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” Jesus wept in verse 35 Because his friend Lazarus had died.

The next place the Bible says Jesus wept is found in Luke 19 verses 37-44. 37 And it reads Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying: “‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” 39 And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” 40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” 41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” In Verse 41, Jesus weeps over Jerusalem.

Personally, I believe Jesus is the strongest person I know. He did the most courageous things and showed love and compassion. Oh yes, Jesus is my superhero!

Do you leave your emotions at home when you go out in public? No one is allowed to see you cry. They can see you smile or get angry, but not cry! One of the purest emotions is those when we cry. Joy tears or sad tears are all allowed here! No need to hold back. Let them flow.

When Holy Spirit or the presence of God touches me, I cry. If the manifestation of God touching me. And it's awesome to experience.

You may be wondering how emotional worship works. Well it is simple. Start worshiping God like usual and I guarantee that soon you'll feel God and tears will form in your eyes and roll down your cheeks. It's okay. We are emotional beings. Crying is okay. Go ahead and cry all you want.

Some of you might be worried or anxious about something called emotionalism. I want to ask if you have ever experienced the presence of God. Well, have you? If you have, you won't criticize what I'm calling emotional worship. If you haven't experienced it, don't speak against it until you have. If you want to experience it, ask God to allow it to happen to you.

Once when I was in second life, I was having prayer meeting and they had this awesome experience. The only way I can describe it Is that it was like God touched my cheek. He had come so close to me. It was awesome. James 4:8 says draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. I had drawn close to God and He had drawn close to me.

See... worship occurs when we step close to God and He answers our move by stepping close to us. It's almost like a dance.

Let's take a few moments to dance with God. He's been waiting for you.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being here and for using me to share Your heart. I asked that we experience emotional workshop and that we take time out of their lives to dance with You. In Jesus name, Amen.

I'm am going to dismiss you all. We'll have our time at the altar and so I ask you to please leave quietly. If you wish to stay, please move to the fellowship room or have conversations in instant message. If you need prayer, counseling, or anything else, please instant message myself or Ben.

I encourage all of you to grow more in your relationship with Jesus. If you don't have a relationship with Jesus, please speak with someone. Ben or I would be happy to help you become a member of the biggest family, God's family.

God bless you all. Go with God. Dance with God. Go in peace.
