AMAZING LOVE

Amazing love, how can it be?
That You, my King would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it's true.
It's my joy to honor You,
In all I do,
I honor You.

You are my King, Jesus
You are my King

If the Son has set you free,
you are free indeed!

Please have a seat.

Today, I am going to share a fire side chat with you.

A while ago, I had a vision so to speak about Judgment Day. And by "vision," I don't mean a prophetic flash that I could see with my physical eyes. Rather, it was a strong impression, as if God was sharing His heart with me, and it was as though I could feel what He was feeling.

Father God sat on the throne with Jesus at His right. As the people came to be judged, this is what happened.

The person's deeds would be read and then God would turn to Jesus. Jesus would search in the Book of Life for the name of the person.

If Jesus nodded with a smile and said "I know them, Father!", God would smile too and say "Well done good and faithful servant. Enter into your eternal reward."

But other times, Jesus would flip page after page of the Book and then would close it and shake His head in sadness, and God would sadly say "Depart from me. I never knew you." There was such sadness in His manner, and I could feel it strongly, as though my own heart was breaking.

Let's look deeper into this "vision" that I had.

I hear many people say that God is love. That since He loves people He won't send them to Hell. They seem to forget that God is just, too. That means that He adheres to the Law that He has made.

Since sin is in this world, God declared that there needs to be a sacrifice, a way for atonement. In the Old Testament, the sacrifice was the blood of animals. In the New Testament, Jesus' blood covered all sin. There is no need for blood sacrifice anymore. It is finished. It has been accomplished.

For me personally, I have realized that I deserved to die in Jesus' place for my sin, but God in His love...such a huge love...gave His One and Only Son to die for me and You! (John 3:16)

Justice calls for punishment. When we commit a crime, there is a consequence -- and only a bad and unjust judge would overlook our actions. When we sin, there is a consequence -- and God is a good judge -- He is completely just. Jesus became the sacrifice for us so that we don't have to take the punishment we deserve.

Do you understand what that means? Jesus took our punishment! He took our place. The stripes on His back, the nail prints in His hands, His death on the cross...was in our place. We were supposed to die...not Him.

But God...in His love for us...He did something that we can never repay. He sent Jesus as our Ambassador of Redemption to draw us back to Himself so that we could hear the words "Well done good and faithful servant."

You know the horrible thing about this all...there are people who will say God is hateful! God is evil. He isn't a loving Father, but He is an ogre who is controlling and manipulating.

And I have to step back when people start saying those things so I don't lash out at them. I have to remind myself I can not stand before God for them. They must chose for themselves who they will serve.

I have to remind myself that I can only show them the TRUE Jesus. I can only be the best me and be Jesus' hands and feet to a world that hates Him who loved them so much.

And I go back to the Judgment seat. I watch the Judge sit there and I see His face. The sorrow and the joy. The tears and the smiles. And I know...His pain is mine. His joy is mine.

And I want my heart to be His. I want my heart to want what His wants. I want to see Him smile MORE on that Judgment Day. I want to hear "Well done good and faithful servant" MORE than "Depart from me I never knew you"

And knowing that is His heart, too. But that means there is much to do and I can't do it alone.

So, I ask you my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ...let's have the heart of the Father. Let's seek out those lost and hurting and show them the LOVE of God.

The time is short. The day when all unrepented sin will be judged is coming quickly. And it is our job to show the love and the holiness of God to the world, so that on that day, they can hear God say to them, "Well done, good and faithful servant; Enter into the joy of your Lord!"
