IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL
lyrics by Horatio Spafford
music by Philip Bliss

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

LORD YOU'VE BEEN SO GOOD
by Benjamin R. Faust

VERSE ONE
Lord, You've been so good to me
You gave me sight when I was blind
You showed me light I could not see
You brought me truth I could not find

Lord, You've been so good to me
You paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord You've been so good to me!

CHORUS
And so I praise You in the morning
and I praise You in the night
For You are my Salvation
You are my Guiding Light
So I give You my everything
I just can't give You less
When You sent Your Son to love me
You gave me Your best!

VERSE TWO
Lord, You've been so good to me
You set my feet on solid ground
You rescued my life from the grave
when no other help could be found
Lord, You've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love You gave so freely
Lord, You've been so good to me!

(CHORUS)

BRIDGE
Lord You've been so good to me
Lord You've been so good to me (better than I deserve)
Lord You've been so good to me
You paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord You've been so good to me

Lord You've been so good to me
Lord You've been so good to me (you're good all the time)
Lord You've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love You gave so freely
Lord You've been so good to me

(CHORUS)

You gave me Your best!
You gave me Your best!

Lord, You've been so good to me.

ALL OF ME
by Benjamin R. Faust

I give you all of me
I give you all of me O Lord
I give you all of me
Come fill this place
(x2)

Fill me with your Spirit Lord
So I may do your will and walk in your way
Keep me in your presence
Every moment, I pray
So I will always love you
So I will always love you

YOU ARE MY ALL
by Benjamin R. Faust

You are my life
You are my strength
You are my song, Jesus

You are my heart
You are my soul
I want the whole world to know

That you are everything to me
And for all eternity
I will sing your praises

I give you my life
I give you my strength
I give you my song, Jesus

I give you my heart
I give you my soul
For you have made me whole!

Father God, thank You for this time in Your presence. A time for us to be present and aware of You and to focus on You. Lord, I ask that everything done here brings glory to You. Whatever I say would edify You and lift You up. It is all about You and not about me or anyone else. I ask that my words would be Yours. That lives would be changed. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen!

Today's fireside chat is called Jehovah Nissi: The Lord is my banner.

I am not sure if they still do it, but during the Civil War there were flag or banner carriers. Their specific duty was to carry the flag or banner into battle. It was a way for the soldiers to know the way the battle was going. If the flag or banner fell to the ground, the soldiers would fight poorly. These flags and banners were their signal to move forward. They drove the soldiers onward. If the flag or banner carrier fell in battle, someone else would pick up the flag or banner.

God is our Jehovah Nissi. He is the Lord my banner. He does not fall in battle. He is before us, ever pushing towards the end. He leads us into battle, ever flying high.

Maybe there are some here who feel as if you are in a battle and your strength is gone. You can't go on. You can't find the Banner. You feel so alone.

Look up. Not too far from you, in front of you, there is a Banner. He has been there and is wanting you to know some things. You are not alone. He is with you. He will lead you and He has the strength to get you through.

When I feel like I am out of energy and I can go on during a battle, I remember the story of the servant of Elisha. There is this great army coming. The servant is frantic, which is understandable. Elisha tells him to look and Elisha prays that God would let him see. The servant finally sees the chariots surrounding Elisha.

No matter how bad things look, God is always there. We are never alone.

Many of you know Ben and I are moving in a few weeks. We are going from Pennsylvania to Kentucky. Jehovah Nissi-the Lord our banner-is leading us there. He is going before us, preparing the way. His ways are higher than ours. His thoughts are higher than ours.

And as we follow Him, we learn that He is always here with us and He knows best.

Allow Him to be Jehovah Nissi in your life. Allow Him to lead. Allow Him to go before you in all things. Keep the way clear for Him to march through.

There aren't many things that can stand up against the marching feet of God. I can name one. Our free will. But if we allow Him free reign in our lives, He will have so much freedom to what He does best!

Let's all promise to allow God free reign in our lives. Let's allow Him to move freely. We will see amazing things if we do this.

The altar call is this. Pray that God will lead you and guide you during the battle. Pray that He will cover you with His love. Ask Him how you can allow Him to have free reign in your life and mean it.

If you need prayer or ministry, instant message someone on the ministry staff and we will help in any way we can.

If you would like to send the pastors a message, visit almcyberchurch.org and click on the pastors' offices there.

After this time at the altar, we will have a fellowship time in the room up the stairs to your left. All area welcome to join us.

Whenever you are ready, you are free to leave.

May God bless you this week. May Jehovah Nissi lead and guide you this day and always.

Go in peace.
