CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN TODAY
by Charles Wesley

Christ the Lord is ris'n today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav'ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Foll'wing our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Alleluia!
Alleluia!

FAIREST LORD JESUS
lyrics by Munster Gesangbuch
music by Schlesische Volkslieder

Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature,
O thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.

Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
robed in the blooming garb of spring:
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer
who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight,
and all the twinkling starry host:
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
than all the angels heaven can boast.

Beautiful Savior! Lord of all the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor, praise, adoration,
now and forevermore be thine.

BREATHE ON ME BREATH OF GOD
by Edwin Hatch
edited by Benjamin Faust

Verse 1:
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Fill me with Life anew,
That I may love the things You love,
And do all that You would do.
And do all that You would do.

Chorus:
Breathe on me, Breath of God
Breathe on me
Breathe on me, Breath of God
Breath of God, breathe on me
Breath of God, breathe on me

Verse 2:
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Until my heart is pure, (and)
Until my will is one with Yours,
As I walk in Love with You.
As I walk in Love with You.

(Chorus)

Verse 3:
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Till I am wholly Thine,
And as this earthly mind grows still, (and)
I glow with Your fire divine.
I glow with Your fire divine.

(Chorus)

Verse 4:
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
As I rest Here with You,
And dwell with You in Perfect Life
That touches Eternity.
That touches Eternity.

Father God, thank You for this time with You. We know You are with us and we thank You for what You have done for us. We ask that You would guide the rest of this service. I ask that whatever happens here would bring glory to You, oh Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Please be seated.

Fireside chat time. Today I'm going to take about Baggage. Let's just picture something. Let's assume all of us carry baggage around. It's kind of like luggage.

Maybe the baggage is chained together and every time something happens to us, more is added. We collect baggage until we can barely move because of the weight of it. It's so heavy.

Carrying this baggage makes it difficult to move, to do lots of things. We even have a hard time lifting it and throwing it away. After all, it is soooooooooooooo heavy!

I hope you are ready for this. Okay so we are carrying around this heavy baggage. Our past. Our future. Maybe even the now. All our worries, our cares. We carry them...the baggage represents them.

So if you carry them around...what happens? Does it start to affect you? Does it do something to your perspective?

If you don't watch out, you will be overwhelmed by the baggage you carry! Will it consume you?
And then...in a whispered voice...you hear... “Cast all your cares upon Me. My yoke is easy. My burden is light.”

Jesus is speaking to you. He is giving you the solution to your issue. He is answering the questions you do not ask.

Cast your cares upon Him. But if I do that, I won't have anything to carry.

You'll have Jesus' yoke, which is easy and light. You won't have to be burdened anymore.

It sounds so simple. So easy. So freeing.

It is! You don't have to complicate it. Just cast your cares upon Jesus! He'll take them and do whatever He will with them. You don't have to worry about them anymore!

But I want to keep it. Why? Why do you want to horde something that has overtaken your life completely? Give it up! Give it to Jesus! He will free you from yourself!

I know this isn't really easy for some people. I mean....you....I...we've been carrying these things for years and years.

I do not mean to say that you should forget things. Don't allow them to overwhelm you. Don't let them rule your life! Free yourself! Allow Jesus to take those things that are burdening you and give you His easy, light yoke. You won't regret it.

Jesus did not want us to burden ourselves with so much stuff. He wants us to give our burdens to Him. He wants to help us to be free. To live lives that are full of hope and promise.

Won't you give your burdens, your baggage to Him? Won't you take His yoke upon you? What are you holding onto that you need to give to Him? What are you waiting for?

I know this was short, but this is what I had. It is altar call time.

The altar call is simple. Talk to God about your baggage. Give it to Him. Let Him free you.

If you need prayer or ministry, instant message one of us on the ministry team.

If you are outside Second Life listening or need to message us later, go to almcyberchurch.org and click on the pastors' offices there.

After this time at the altar, we will have fellowship in the room up the stairs to your left. Everyone is invited to attend.

You are all free to leave when you need to do so.

May God bless you this week. May He free you from the baggage you've carried for too long.

Go in peace.
