HOLY IS THE KING
by Benjamin R. Faust

He is worthy, and we proclaim
The name of Jesus
is far above every other name
He is holy and we declare
His glory fills the earth
and there's rejoicing everywhere

He is mighty, and sovereign over all
He's coming for who's ready
when they hear the trumpet call
He is Jesus, the ruler over all
And every soul in worship
to the King will fall

Holy, holy is the King who reigns
The Son of God,
heaven and earth proclaims
In joy we bring to you our offering

(In spirit and - in truth we sing)
(And so to you - our lives we bring)
(As a li - ving offering)

MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS
by Edward Mote

Verse 1:
My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
but wholely lean on Jesus' name

Verse 2:
When darkness fails His lovely face
I rest on His unchanging grace
in every high and stormy gale
my anchor holds within the veil

Verse 3
When He shall come with trumpet sound
O may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
faultless to stand before His throne

Chorus:
On Christ the solid rock I stand
all other ground is sinking sand
all other ground is sinking sand

I SURRENDER ALL
by Judson W. Van DeVenter

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

Who's leading who?
By Jennifer L. Faust
June 25, 2017

Heavenly Father, thank You for always leading us even when we don't want to follow. Thank You for this opportunity to share with others what You have given me to talk about today. I ask that we all listen with open ears and open hearts. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Please be seated.

Today's fireside chat is called “Who's leading who?” I know that sounds kind of odd, but I will explain.

Most cars have GPS built into them these days, but it wasn't so not many years ago. Some people still use maps to figure out the way to go.

I think of the Bible and Holy Spirit as my road map and GPS. The Bible gives me a good idea to where I should be headed and Holy Spirit vocalizes the directions in which I should go.

But what happens if we...you and I ...decide that we are better at finding our way around instead of the GPS or a map? We may get to where we are going. We may not. We may get there a lot later than expected or not at all.

It is even more so if we try to go our own way instead of following the Bible and Holy Spirit. I mean look at the Israelites! It took them years and years to travel through the desert because of their disobedience!

Have you ever thought you could lead the way? Did you pull God along with you? What happened?

Did you get lost? Did you go the round about way to get to a place where God had said you were to go? Did you never arrive where God wanted you? Did you go through the desert instead of the mountains because you disobeyed God?

But God, I know how to get there! I don't need to read directions or listen to You!

When was the last time you tried to lead God? Why did you not listen to Him? Was it your pride?

What happens when God leads the way? He opens your eyes to yet another part of Himself, doesn't He? He shows you things about yourself you didn't see before. You missed them when you were leading because you went the wrong way!

God knows what He is doing. Let Him lead. Sure, He might lead you through some hurt and pain, but He is there with you. It won't last forever.

Allow yourself to give God the lead. Let Him take your hand and lead. You follow. Don't drag your feet. Follow Him and see, hear, experience all the things He has for you. You won't be disappointed.

What if God leads us into the desert? Why'd He take me there?? Maybe there is something that needs doing there. I don't know. Ask Him.

I think sometimes the main reason God does the things He does is to see if we are paying attention. Do we see Him for Who He is or just what He does? There is a difference. Who He is is Father. What is does is love us.

Okay. We're going to go on a little journey. Bear in mind this is something you can do alone. Let yourself be led by God.
I'm sitting at my desk typing this. There are tears in my eyes. I can tell that soon they may streaming down my face.

I had this thought a moment ago. I reached out my hand and well let's just say I know without a doubt God took it. I could tell He wanted to take me somewhere. I told Him I had to type the fireside chat and He said “I know. This is part of that.”

So, I'm still sitting here, but my spirit went with God. We walked through this mobile home and outside. We walked down the streets of this town towards the park. We sat on a bench and watched the ducks and geese. The sun is setting. God walked me back.

It was a short journey. A peaceful one. Nothing really happened. But why do we think that just because the earth didn't shake and manna didn't fall from heaven that it didn't mean something? Or it wasn't from God?

Even our quietest moments can be moments God leads us to a peaceful place where all we do is be.

I want you to try it. I want you to allow God to lead you. Sure, maybe you think this is crazy. That's your choice. I know that I can picture where we went...I live here. :) Allow yourself to do something you don't usually do. See where God will take you. You might need some tissues.

And yes. This is our altar call. It allow God to lead us somewhere. Somewhere we may have been or may have not been. Allow Him to lead and show you more of Himself.

Father God, thank You for this chance to learn more about You. I ask that You would give peace and awareness to everyone under the sound of my voice. I ask that You would give them courage to allow You to lead them and guide their steps. Our lives are not our own. They were bought with a high price. I ask that we would follow Your lead. Lead me, Lord. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

If you need prayer or ministry, please instant message someone on the ministry team. We will be happy to help you in any way we can.

If you need to message the pastors privately, go to almcyberchurch.org and click on the pastors' offices there. We will reply as soon as we can.

After this time at the altar, we'll have fellowship in the room up the stairs to your left. All are welcome to attend.

You are free to leave whenever you need to do so.

May God bless you this week. May He lead and you follow.

Go in peace.
