Public Prayer Requests:

Lord Jesus, please heal my mind and heart. Put them back in order that I can think right, feel right and behave right. Fill me with yourself and your love. Forgive me for letting myself get to this bad place.

Please turn around and click one of the offering plates by the doors, and give as the Lord leads.

I love to be in your presence
    with your people singing praises
I love to stand and rejoice
lift my hands and raise my voice

You set my feet to dancing
you fill my heart with song
You give me reason to rejoice,

You shall go out with joy
And be let forth with peace
And the mountains and the hills
Will break forth before you
There'll be shouts of joy
And all the trees of the fields
Will clap, will clap their hands

And all the trees of the fields
will clap their hands
The trees of the fields will clap their hands
The trees of the fields will clap their hands
While you go out with joy

Father, I adore you
Lay my life before you
How I love you

Dear Father in Heaven, I come to you with a heavy heart. I pour out my heart to you and say, Father we have compromised your word and we have lived lukewarm lives. Father, I intercede on behalf of my brothers and sisters who are living with one foot in the world and one foot on the Word of God. Lord, I ask that we would turn our eyes upon you and that we would flee from temptation. Give me words to say Lord as I share what I believe you are urging me to share. I plead the blood of Jesus over our lives and cry Abba Father have mercy. Come and fill us Lord. Help us to turn from our wicked ways. Release your power and your spirit upon this wicked generation. Bring us to our knees, oh Lord. We have sinned. Forgive us. Lord Lord Lord. Forgive us. I pray these things in the name that is above all names, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah, Amen.

Today, I'm going to be stepping on some toes or on everyone's toes. I know for a fact I will be saying some things people won't like, but I do not care. I believe this is what God wants me to share. As you can see, Ben is here. I told him I had something to share, just an idea, and then God said, "Child, you have a word to share so write it down." So, I did. And here I am.

The sermon title is called "Compromise." The word compromise in this instance means to make a dishonorable or shameful concession. The online dictionary gives the example: He is too honorable to compromise with his principles. But I say to you, that the Church, the Body of Christ, has made compromises. We have straddled the line that separates the things of this world and the things of God.

In Revelation Chapter 3 verses 14-16, we read
14 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (NKJV)

God is saying be either hot or cold, but not lukewarm. Lukewarm where you are compromising and satan is speaking lies to you. Everything that you hear that is a twisting of the Word of God, the TRUTH, is from the lying lips of the Enemy. The Enemy wants us to be lukewarm. He wants us to compromise. Don't listen to him!

Do I need to speak out how the Church is compromising? Okay. I will. There are those in the Church that say abortion is okay. They say homosexual marriage is okay. They say nothing about sin and/or the blood of Jesus from the PULPIT! They spew lies and hatred of anyone who speaks against them. They wonder where the power of God has gone and why there are no miracles or signs and wonders. They want to have it all, but give nothing. They wish to be blessed and not be a blessing. They turn their face from sin and pretend it doesn't happen.

WAKE UP CHURCH!! The Lord Jesus Christ is coming on clouds of glory and we are sitting on our hands, waiting, but not watching! We are looking for what He can do for us, but not 'going into all the world to preach the Gospel.' We want to be in our safe homes and cities, but not go where they need Jesus!

Compromising with half our heart longing for Jesus and the other playing with fire. Can't you see. Jesus wept over Jerusalem. He weeps over His Church, His Bride. We are supposed to be the Bride of Christ! But our garment is torn and filthy. We are walking in the darkness, believing we are in the Light. And we don't even know the darkness is all around us.

If we stay silent, the Church will merge with the world and compromise more than ever before. It will wear sheep's clothing, but actually be a wolf underneath.

Being silent will NOT change anything! Being silent is helping the compromise continue.

I WILL NOT BE SILENT! I will speak the truth! God forgive us! God forgive me for ever compromising!

It is so easy to compromise. You don't have to change. You don't have to humble yourself to ask forgiveness.

I stand before you on behalf of the Church of the Living God and cry out. I cry out to God for His Church to hear His voice! Open our ears Lord! Speak to us!

Lord Lord Lord. As I write this, the screen is getting blurry because of the tears in my eyes.

God is calling out to His Church! Be set apart!

Psalm 4: 3 says But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him.

See? The LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly! Don't you want to be set apart for God?

You have to stop compromising! Okay, I am going to speak to those here in Second Life. Some might not like this, but I believe it needs to be said.

If you are in a romantic relationship, say boyfriend/girlfriend, engaged, or married in real life, and you have a romantic relationship with someone in Second Life that is not the same person you are compromising! You got a foot in the world and one in God's. It is wrong, plain and simple. You are cheating. Don't give me the excuse "But Second Life isn't real." If the tables were turned, would you believe your partner or SO if they said that to you? Satan loves to say those kinds of things to people. "It isn't real. It's okay. It isn't really cheating."

When your emotions are linked to someone, it is just as strong as if you were physical with them in real life. We can be emotionally attached to someone and also spiritually attached to them.

It is compromising when you believe that what you do in SL will NOT affect you in real life. When you believe that, you have just opened a wormhole big enough for satan to stick his foot in and then you gave him a stronghold. There is only one thing that can break a stronghold. His name is Jesus Christ and His blood upon our lives.

Compromise can ruin someone's life. This kind of compromise. There is such a thing as GOOD compromise, but we aren't talking about that today.

And now that I have talked about compromise for awhile, let's talk about what to do if you find yourself compromising.

Stop listening to the devil! He's a lying, thieving, sinful mongrel that we can say 'get behind me' and flee from his evil words and deeds.

We do not need to listen to him. We need to pray for God to forgive us. We need to repent and turn from those wicked ways. We need to stand up for justice and the TRUTH! We can no longer back down from the TRUTH. We need to stand up and be counted as one of the warriors of Jesus.

So, yes there is hope. There is a redeeming from compromise. We don't have to live that way anymore.

Are you ready to turn from the compromising ways and to be either hot or cold? Are you ready to be free from sin? Are you ready to ask Jesus to be Lord and Savior of your life?

Then, come to the altar. Come and pray. Jesus is waiting for you. In Revelation 3:20 the Lord says 20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

See, I believe He is knocking on the door of your heart right now. He wants to come in. Won't you open the door and let Him in?

Lord Jesus, thank you for this word and Lord, I ask that as we go our way that it would remind us to not compromise. Guide us Lord in your will and help us to be righteous men and women of God. In Jesus name, Amen.

Everyone is free to leave. Please remember there are still people praying and to use instant message for conversations. After this time at the altar, we will head over to the fellowship room to your left.

Come to the altar now.

May God grant you His peace that passes all understanding. And may His Truth abound in your life. Go in peace.
