Yes, Lord, yes, to Your will and to Your way
Yes, Lord, yes, I will trust You and obey
When Your Spirit speaks to me, with my whole heart I'll agree
And my answer will be yes, Lord, yes!

You are crowned with many crowns
And rule all things in righteousness
You are crowned with many crowns
Upholding all things by Your word

You rule in power
And reign in glory
You are Lord
Of heaven and earth

You are Lord of all
You are Lord of all
You are Lord of all
You are Lord of all

Father, I adore You
Lay my life before You
How I love You

Spirit, I adore You
Lay my life before You
How I love You

Jesus, I adore You
Lay my life before You
How I love You

*** listen to the audio for the message introduction ***

Father God, I stand before you as your vessel, ready to serve and to voice what you've placed on my heart. Guide my mouth to say all that needs said and to say it in love. Let no words spill from my mouth that aren't first sifted through you. Jesus, may my will be yours. Holy Spirit, come and dwell amongst us. In the precious name of Jesus and pray, amen.

As I write this, I'm watching the trees sway madly in the breeze. I think about the earthquake that trembled through parts of the East Coast of the USA and even as far in land as Ohio and Michigan. Hurricane Irene is "here"or almost. And other natural disasters are wreaking havoc at any given time somewhere on earth.

Yet, I don't know about you, but I've noticed something. We humans walk around as if we are in a bubble, a metal ball, Or bullet proof armor.

Our lives are perfect until...the bubble breaks, the metal ball rusts, or the bullet proof armor gets bullet dents in it. Something happens in our lives that reveals to us "the world is ending" and, for just a moment, a day, for a while, we see life as catastrophic. Our perfect world has ended for now until the bubble, metal ball, or bullet proof armor returns or is made new.

We go about our days like it hardly rains in our life. Everything is perfect. We never starve because we have more than enough food. We always feels safe. We have enough money, clothes, a roof of our heads, the job. And God?

Since our lives are perfect sometimes we forget God. That is until: famine, natural disasters, illness, divorce, new job, new car, no house, no money, and 9/11, etc. etc.

Then, the bubble bursts, the metal ball erodes, and the bullet proof armor is penetrated.

And the huge question Why, God? Why? is screamed.

How could God be God and let such and such occur?

Isn't God a God of love? I don't feel the love, God!

Why me? Why my family? Why my country? Why? Why? Why?

If God is good, why?

I will be honest with you. I have asked God why many times. I don't have all the answers, but I will share these things with you.

Let's look at some scripture.

First, let's start with 1 John 4:7-10 And it says 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

In these verses, it says that God loves us and he loved us so much that he sent Jesus to die in a place. We might not understand all that God does, but we know this is For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. That's found In John Chapter 3. We know from God's Word that he loves us no matter what make the lawn in our life or what we do. As we continue in this time of me sharing, remember God's love for you and for me.

The next Scripture is in Romans 8:28 and it says and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

This reminds us that all things work together for good to those who love god and are called according to his purpose. I know I pretty much said that verse again. Let me try to explain it in a different way. When everything seems like it is falling apart and our perfect world is no more and we can't see the morning or we can't see the good, the verse is reminding us that through all of our trials and tribulations God is still with us and that in the end good will come from the bad.

Isaiah 55:8 and 9 Says 8 “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

These two verses, this is how I understand this, I believe that these verses mean that we don't always understand all that God does or all that he allows. And sometimes That means That We get angry With God because of what is going on.

One of the reasons for these things to happen is sin and the consequence of said sin. Since we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, we aren't perfect and have to live with the consequences of our own sin and the sin others commit against us.

We live in a fallen world where it feels as if sin, mayhem, demons, and evil run rampant and nothing stops it.

But if we were to truly look, we'd see God at work. Don't think for a moment that God is lazy and sitting back on his throne twiddling his thumbs.

If we could see into the spiritual realm, you know what we would see? This is just my idea of what is going on in the spiritual realm. I'm not saying this is biblical, but this is just how I see it. Demons and angels battling, swords clashing.

We do not command of the Angels, but beseech God to send us aid, comfort, his presence.

But why? Why do these horrible things happen to me?

I've asked God why he allowed my grandpa to molest me. I can't say I have the full answer, but I know this though. I've been able to share my testimony and help others who have been abused, too. Being able to share how God has used the whys in my life, has given me a partial answer to those whys and I know when I see God face to face, the rest will be revealed, too.

Have you ever instead of asking why me asked why not me? Who am I to think I'm better than anyone else and that I won't have trials and tribulations?

I'm just like you. I stumble, fall, ask why at times, but always in the end gaze up to focus on God. To know he is a good amount of what. His kindness, goodness, mercy, faithfulness, truth last forever.

When you are tempted to ask why, go head. I believe God understands why we ask it of him. But know he will never leave nor forsake you in your search.

I hope and pray that you remember what I have said. I am going to say Romans 8:28 again. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. We are the called. That is, you are the called if you not only are followers of Jesus, but have a relationship. I believe you can be a follower of Jesus and not have a relationship with him. But I believe, you can not have relations with him and not be his follower.

In the end, everything works for our good!

Father God, thank you for being with us today. I ask that you would remind us of your love and all your other attributes and characteristics that will bring us closer to you. Thank you for your awesome love! We love you, Lord.

Romans 8:37-39 says yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thank you, Lord, that nothing can separate us from your love. In Jesus name, amen.

Sing "You Are Good."

You are all dismissed. Please leave quietly. We will have a time at the altar in which you can ask for prayer, counseling, pray alone, worship, and just be silent. I ask that if you want to talk or have a conversation, please do so in instant message or go out to the circle in the middle of the sim or go to the room to your left which is the fellowship room and talk there. If in fact you need prayer, counseling, or a listening ear, please instant message myself or Ben. After the time at the altar, we'll have a time of chatting in the fellowship room. Hope to see you all there.

May God bless you as you continue on the path He has shown you. Go in peace and may God's presence forever grace your life so that all may see Jesus in you.
