Lord, you've been so good to me
you gave me sight when I was blind
You showed me light I could not see
you brought me truth I could not find

Lord, you've been so good to me
you paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord you've been so good to me!

And so I praise you in the morning
and I praise you in the night
For you are my Salvation
you are my guiding light
So I give you my everything
I just can't give you less
When you sent your Son to love me
you gave me your best!

Lord, you've been so good to me
you set my feet on solid ground
You rescued my life from the grave
when no other help could be found

Lord, you've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love you gave so freely
Lord, you've been so good to me!

Lord you've been so good to me
Lord you've been so good to me (better than I deserve)
Lord you've been so good to me
you paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord you've been so good to me

Lord you've been so good to me
Lord you've been so good to me (you're good all the time)
Lord you've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love you gave so freely
Lord you've been so good to me

You gave me your best!
You gave me your best!

Lord, you've been so good to me.

There is none like You
No one else can touch my heart like You do
I could search for all eternity long
And find there is none like You

Your mercy flows like a river wide
And healing comes from Your hands
Suffering children are safe in Your arms
There is none like You

When you walk into a room, how does the atmosphere change? Does it become positive or negative?

Now I'm not trying to say this in a bragging way. I mean we should all aspire to bring a positive aura with us so that everywhere we go the atmosphere is effected positively.

Just like Jesus did.

Here are some examples of what I mean. I may not give all or any scriptures. You can look up the stories for yourself.

Remember the story of the girl who was dying and as her father was bringing Jesus to her she died? Jesus had said she was only sleeping. He had to tell everyone but a few disciples to leave the room. Jesus performed a miracle there that day. The girl woke up, asking for food. The story is found in Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

How about Zacchaeus? Zacchaeus had watched Jesus from afar, standing in a tree. When Jesus saw him and kind of invited himself to Zacheus' house, the tax collector was excited. I think that because Jesus took the time to call Zacchaeus out that Zacchaeus changed his ways from then on. The story is found in Luke chapter 19.

Jesus in the temple. Oh yes. He did change the atmosphere that day in the temple when He made a whip and overturned the money changing tables. His righteous anger showed everyone that God was not happy. I personally believe that Jesus brought a positive change to the atmosphere even if He was angry.

It was positive in the outcome. Jesus did not use brute force or physical violence to the people in any way. It is one place in the Bible where I smile when I read it because of the fact that before and after Jesus was so different in His manner and personality. But even so, in the temple...Jesus wanted purity of spirit. And to get that back He had to clean the temple out first! The story is found in Matthew and John.

The last one example I want to talk about is when the religious leaders brought a woman caught in adultery to Jesus. It is a favorite story because of how Jesus responds to the situation. Let's read it from the book of John chapter 8 starting at verse 3. It reads

John 8:3-12 (NKJV)

3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst,
4 they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?"
6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."
8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"
11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

The religious leaders brought a negative aura with them, but Jesus' positive aura was stronger. He made them uncomfortable and they didn't like it. In the end, they left and Jesus ministered to the woman with His words.

What would our daily lives be like if we had positive auras?

Maybe going to work wouldn't be so bad.

Maybe taking care of a sick loved one would bring peace to them.

Maybe we can carry peace, love, mercy, grace with us to spread them around so that others can be encouraged and inspired.

At times, it is so hard to have a positive aura. Life isn't always skipping through meadows full of flowers and singing with the birds.

Sometimes it is running from bees, standing in the rain by a grave, shouting to the sky with hands clutched in fists. Storms rage. Thunder roars. Lightning flashes.

And we can barely move, barely stand. All our energy is gone.

Then, as if in a dream, the clouds move on. The rain lets up. The thunder quiets. The lightning fades.

And a new fragrance fills the air. So sweet and fresh.

Yes. Our example of positive atmosphere bringer has come. Jesus. His presence is felt.

We rejoice. We slowly come to realize how important positive auras are. How they can change people, their lives, and their circumstances.

So...with all this information about positive auras...I want to make a promise. You all don't have to do this, but I think you should. It's a friendly suggestion.

I, Jennifer Lynn Faust, promise to grow in the area of having a positive aura wherever I go. I want to change the atmosphere like Jesus did.

Now that I've done that, I need to watch what my aura is giving off.

This should be a good, fun sort of way.

It's altar call time!

Today, I want all of us to do some deep searching in ourselves. What kind of aura are you giving off?

We can all do better so ask God to help you to grow in this area of your life.

If you need ministry, prayer please instant message one of us on the staff and we will help you in any way we can. If you are outside Second Life and need to contact the ministry team for any reason, go to and then click on one of the pastor's offices. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

After this time at the altar, we will have our usual fellowship time in the room up the stairs to your left. All are welcome to attend.

You are all free to leave when you need to do so.

May God bless you this week. May He bring peace and love in your lives so that you may carry a positive aura wherever you go.
