When the Spirit of the Lord
moves in my heart
I will praise like David praised

When the Spirit of the Lord
moves in my heart
I will praise like David praised

I will praise, I will praise
I will praise like David praised

I have found His grace is all complete,
He supplieth every need;
While I sit and learn at Jesus' feet,
I am free, yes, free indeed.

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Full of glory, full of glory;
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Oh, the half has never yet been told.

I have found the pleasure I once craved,
It is joy and peace within;
What a wondrous blessing, I am saved
From the awful gulf of sin.

I have found that hope so bright and clear,
Living in the realm of grace;
Oh, the Savior's presence is so near,
I can see His smiling face.

I have found the joy no tongue can tell,
How its waves of glory roll;
It is like a great o'erflowing well,
Springing up within my soul.

Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature,
O thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.
Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
robed in the blooming garb of spring:

Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer
who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight,
and all the twinkling starry host:
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
than all the angels heaven can boast.
Beautiful Savior! Lord of all the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!

Glory and honor, praise, adoration,
now and forevermore be thine.

Oh Lord, you're beautiful,
Your face is all I seek,
For when your eyes are on this child,
Your grace abounds to me.

I want to take your word and shine it all around.
But first help me just to live it Lord.
And when I'm doing well, help me to never seek a crown.
For my reward is giving glory to you.

Oh Lord, please light the fire,
That once burned bright and clear.
Replace the lamp of my first love,
That burns with Holy fear.

Father God, Thank You for being with us in this place. I ask that You would give me words to say that would convey what You would have all of us here to understand. Help me to be ever vigilant in my walk upon this earth. That I will always do Your will and always shine the light upon You. It is all about You and not about me. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

As I think about this world, the things that God created....the trees, the grass, the dirt, the animals, mankind...I look at it all and I see how beautiful God made these things. I wonderful and glorious He created the sky, the day, the night, the stars to be. How majestic He paints the sunrise and sunset. How glittery the water is in the sunlight. The snow is the same, like diamonds on the ground.

And yet, some of us humans worship the creation rather than the creator. More than just the creation, the Creator...the Living God...He is far more beautiful than all we see. Creation is but a glimpse of His majesty.

I believe my all time favorite Keith Green song is "Oh Lord, You're Beautiful." It also happens to be the title of this fireside chat.

As we walk this earth, we not only see beauty, but we also see ugly. I think it is horrible to call someone ugly. It isn't that they are ugly exactly. It is more that they do not attract you. Now, I'm talking outward appearance. Someone CAN be ugly on the inside. Their character can make them ugly and therefore unlikeable. They will be someone people do not want to be around.

This world is an ugly place at times. That's what sin did to this place that God created and said "it is good" after every day of creation. Then, it went to "it is bad."

Moral decay is high. Integrity and all things right and good is low. Oh good, right, truth all are still here. Sometimes it seems they are in a galaxy far far away. Insert Star Wars theme song here. Sorry. Sorry. I just had to do that :)

But seriously, all things good, right, pure, etc seem so far away that we can't always see them. The darkness has overtaken. The world is coming to an end! We feel like Eeyore and his grumpy personality has captured us and taken our joy and hope away.

It's okay to feel like Eeyore at times, but just don't say there! There is hope. There is still good in this world. We may have to bring hope and good to this world ourselves, but we can and we shall do it.

Do you know what is the hope of this world? And no it isn't superman, spiderman, wonder woman, or any other marvel superhero. It isn't Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. And it sure isn't Barney the purple dinosaur! Or any of the characters in a Disney movie.

I'll give you a hint. He was born in Bethlehem. His birth was announced by angels. His mother was a virgin. His earthly father a carpenter. Still don't know? Shepherds and wisemen came to see him early on in his life. When he was 12, he got separated from his parents. When he was 30, he started a ministry. When he was 33, he was crucified. But he didn't stay in the grave, no sir! He rose from the dead!

Did you guess Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God? If so, you are correct!

That's how God brought hope and good back into the world! He sent Jesus to do the unthinkable! The unbelievable! The down right...if he was in politics and thankfully Jesus is NOT in politics...he would have been impeached! I mean he did things that the religious leaders saw as ludicrous. The things Jesus said and did got him killed.

He is our hope. He is good. When the ugly of this world seems to have overwhelmed us...overtaken us...we can look to Him and see hope. It shines in everything about Him. In everything about our God...the Creator...the Beautiful One. The promise of the hope we have in Him.

Even if this world as we know it comes to an end...Father God is. He is eternal. There is no beginning and no end to Him. And once we realize that even though this world has an end...He does not.

Even though this world is ugly, evil...He is not. He is only good. He is beautiful.

When we stand before Him that day, we will truly see just how beautiful He is. And as the words of the song go "for when Your eyes are on this child Your grace abounds to me."
So I ask that your eyes would be on us, that Your grace abound to us.

Today's altar call is as follows. The most important thing you will ever do in life is breath. The next important is to choose your eternal resting place. There are but two places. Heaven. Hell. You can't go to both. It is very simple the way to choose. To get to hell you do nothing. Simple. To get to heaven you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of your. You live for Him. Simple choice. Not always simple to do.

If you would like prayer or ministry, please instant message one of us on the ministry team and we will be happy to help you in any way we can.

After you are finished at the altar, you are all invited to join us in the room up the stairs to your left for a time of fellowship.

You are all free to go whenever you need to do so.

May God bless you all this week. May He reveal His beauty to you as only He can do.
