lyrics by Horatio Spafford
music by Philip Bliss

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

by Charles Wesley

Christ the Lord is ris'n today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav'ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Foll'wing our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

by John Bacchus Dykes

Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
our song shall rise to Thee.

Holy, holy, holy!
merciful and mighty,
God in three persons,
blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy!
all the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns
around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim
Falling down before Thee,
Which wert, and art, and
evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy!
though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see,
Only Thou art holy;
there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power,
in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise Thy name,
in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy!
merciful and mighty,
God in three persons,
blessed Trinity.

Father God, Thank You for being here with us and guiding our steps to this place where we find hope, restoration, peace, and love. Thank You for allowing me to stand before You and these ones gathered here to share what You have placed on my heart. May it be a blessing to them. May my words reach them in ways only You could know and produce. I pray this in the name that is above every the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Please be seated.

I am here to share what is on my heart. It is fireside chat time. Get comfortable, but not too comfortable. I'm going kind of at the seat of my pants today. I have an idea of what I am going to share, but sometimes God does His own thing within those ideas. I am always open to what He has in store for us and I hope you are as well.

This week, we had some wintry weather here in Kentucky. Ice and then on top of that snow. It's a beautiful sight for this girl who was born and raised in Pennsylvania. It has some in utter annoyance and many are not prepared.

I am going to be sharing something that some might not think is appropriate, but sometimes we need to share things that are happening in our lives to bring about a lesson that God may need to teach us or someone else. Maybe it will help someone else so that is why I don't mind sharing my journey with others.

Many of you know how I have yearned to have a child...well more like children...for years and years. Even before I was married, I wanted to have children. Well, there may be a very tough decision I will have to make. The toughest decision I will ever have to make. One that will involve a lot of prayer and tears.

Now, some might say this is a mixed gender event. You shouldn't share this. Even men know women that are in this type of situation, but I am not going to go into a lot of detail. I am only going to share the smallest amount of information. Just enough for you all to get the idea how tough this is for me.

This decision is...I may have to...I mean there a very good possibility that I will have to have a hysterectomy. If you don't know what they is, it is a surgery to remove my uterus. It will mean no biological children for us. Now, do you understand what kind of situation I am in?

This is a life altering decision I will have to make after lots of prayer and talking with my husband.

But I want you to know something. Even though I may find myself in this situation, I know without a doubt that God is still here with me. He is still caring and loving me. He has not gone away.

Though this decision may be in my future...and I know I have to choose the surgery or...some other possible outcome that the doctor may come up with...I know that I am not alone.

Have you ever had this kind of situation where you had to make such a hard decision? I am not talking about what color shirt to wear. Or whether to what that movie or that one. I mean really really hard choices that would change a huge part of your life. Because if you haven't, you may not understand my situation. I have a feeling though many if not all of you have had to make such tough decisions, too.

I ask you to pray for me. I ask you to give me some grace in these next weeks as the decision becomes closer and closer.

I know God is staying fairly close to me. I mean I can tell as I type this and the tears form in my eyes. He isn't saying...”Don't cry.” He is saying “My Child, I am here. I will be here as you cry. I know this is hard for you. I will wipe away all the tears and collect them in My bottle. I do not wish for you to be in such deep sorrow. I will hold you. I love you, My Child. I love you.”

So as you journey in this life, you may have tough decisions to make. Just know that God is with you. He will be there to comfort you and to collect all your tears. For His love is greater than anything else and His desire is to guide us through the hard times.

I hope what I have shared will at least give someone encouragement. That they will know that God is with them. And that it is okay to cry when you feel overwhelmed and in need. When the decision seems to hit you like a tidal wave, call on Him Who can calm the storm in you.

The altar call is as follows. I want us to spend some time in God's presence, crying out to Him to calm the storm in us. To wrap us in His embrace that will shelter us from all harm.

If you need ministry or prayer for any reason, please instant message one of us on the ministry team and we will help you in any way we can.

If you wish to message the pastors, please go to and click on the pastors' offices there and leave us a message. We will reply as soon as we can.

After our time here at the altar, we will have a time of fellowship up the stairs to your left. All are invited to join us.

If you need to leave, you may do so at any time.

May God bless you this week.
May He Who wipes your tears and collects them in His bottle bring about His peace that passing all understanding.
