A REASON TO REJOICE
by Benjamin R. Faust

I have a reason to rejoice
I have a reason to clap my hands
I have a reason to lift my voice
and sing praises to the great I Am

I have a reason to move my feet
and take the Gospel into the street
I have a reason to lose my will
and let Jesus take full control

For you have set my feet to dancin'
You have filled my heart with joy
You have freed me from my passions
and filled me with the Holy Ghost

You have set my heart on fire
Fill my soul with your desire
and Melt me Lord 'til
only you remain!

LORD YOU'VE BEEN SO GOOD
by Benjamin R. Faust

VERSE ONE
Lord, You've been so good to me
You gave me sight when I was blind
You showed me light I could not see
You brought me truth I could not find

Lord, You've been so good to me
You paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord You've been so good to me!

CHORUS
And so I praise You in the morning
and I praise You in the night
For You are my Salvation
You are my Guiding Light
So I give You my everything
I just can't give You less
When You sent Your Son to love me
You gave me Your best!

VERSE TWO
Lord, You've been so good to me
You set my feet on solid ground
You rescued my life from the grave
when no other help could be found
Lord, You've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love You gave so freely
Lord, You've been so good to me!

(CHORUS)

BRIDGE
Lord You've been so good to me
Lord You've been so good to me (better than I deserve)
Lord You've been so good to me
You paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord You've been so good to me

Lord You've been so good to me
Lord You've been so good to me (you're good all the time)
Lord You've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love You gave so freely
Lord You've been so good to me

(CHORUS)

You gave me Your best!
You gave me Your best!

Lord, You've been so good to me.

FAIREST LORD JESUS
lyrics by Munster Gesangbuch
music by Schlesische Volkslieder

Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature,
O thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.

Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
robed in the blooming garb of spring:
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer
who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight,
and all the twinkling starry host:
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
than all the angels heaven can boast.

Beautiful Savior! Lord of all the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor, praise, adoration,
now and forevermore be thine.

Father God, Thank You for bringing us to this place. For showering us with Your grace, mercy and love. As we continue this service, may Your words bring life. May Your love reign here, Oh God. Thank You for using me as Your vessel to share with others Your words that have been placed on my heart. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Please be seated.

Today, I bring a fireside chat. Get comfortable.

When you think of mercy, what comes to mind? Dictionary.com defines mercy as compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one's power; compassion, pity, or benevolence.

When one shows mercy to someone they may not usually do so...or the person didn't earn it. Showing mercy to an enemy when it is in our power to do so.

God showed us mercy. He shows us mercy every day.

Today, I want to read Psalm 136. In this chapter, the words "His mercy endures forever" are repeated twenty-six times if I did not miscount. That's the number of verses that are in this chapter as well.

I want you all to read these verses with me. I want us to realize that God's mercy endures forever. Forever and ever. It is without end.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like I get stuck. I can't get out. I need some help. I know I did something wrong.

It is then that I remember...His mercy endures forever. Mercy. His compassion….His care...His kindness...His love. For if not for those...I don't know where I would be. No, I know where I would be. Somewhere where light is not. Somewhere where love is not.

Let's read these verses.

Psalm 136

1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:
4 To Him who alone does great wonders,
For His mercy endures forever;
5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,
For His mercy endures forever;
6 To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,
For His mercy endures forever;
7 To Him who made great lights,
For His mercy endures forever--
8 The sun to rule by day,
For His mercy endures forever;
9 The moon and stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures forever.
10 To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,
For His mercy endures forever;
11 And brought out Israel from among them,
For His mercy endures forever;
12 With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm,
For His mercy endures forever;
13 To Him who divided the Red Sea in two,
For His mercy endures forever;
14 And made Israel pass through the midst of it,
For His mercy endures forever;
15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea,
For His mercy endures forever;
16 To Him who led His people through the wilderness,
For His mercy endures forever;
17 To Him who struck down great kings,
For His mercy endures forever;
18 And slew famous kings,
For His mercy endures forever--
19 Sihon king of the Amorites,
For His mercy endures forever;
20 And Og king of Bashan,
For His mercy endures forever--
21 And gave their land as a heritage,
For His mercy endures forever;
22 A heritage to Israel His servant,
For His mercy endures forever.
23 Who remembered us in our lowly state,
For His mercy endures forever;
24 And rescued us from our enemies,
For His mercy endures forever;
25 Who gives food to all flesh,
For His mercy endures forever.
26 Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!
For His mercy endures forever.

I want to read the first few verses again.
1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:

There is just something about these verses. Praising and giving thanks to God...for His mercy endures forever!! For Who He is and what He has done...for His mercy endures forever!!

No matter what is going on in your life, His mercy endures forever!

No matter what the test results are, His mercy endures forever!

No matter what the weather is, His mercy endures forever!

He is King of kings and Lord of lords, His mercy endures forever!
His mercy endures forever!
His mercy endures forever!
His mercy endures forever!

My brothers and sisters in Christ, He has shown us great mercy. Those who can hear me who are not yet followers of Jesus Christ, He has shown you great mercy. He has brought you here for a reason. Will you come to Him? He has shown you great mercy. He has called you to this place for such a time as this. Do not let this moment pass you by.

The altar call is as follows. For the purpose of today's fireside chat, let's talk about this altar. This altar is a place to pray and worship the One True Living God. It is where God can work His miracles. It will be a place where He changes you. God is calling out your name. If you listen, you will hear His voice. His hand is reaching out to you. He will welcome you. His grace, love, and mercy are available to you. Accept Him.

If you are willing to do this, there are those on the ministry team who are here to help you. Instant message them. They can pray with you, talk with you. With any of you.

If you would like to send us, the pastors, a message, go to almcyberchurch.gov and click on the pastors' offices. We will reply to the message as soon as we can.

After this time at the altar, we will have fellowship time in the room up the stairs to your left. All are welcome to join us.

If you need to leave, you are free to do so.

May God bless you this week. May He Whose Mercy Endures Forever bring about peace to your mind, body, and soul.
