lyrics by Horatio Spafford
music by Philip Bliss

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Healer, Redeemer, - Word of God inspirer You are
Alpha, Omega, - You're the story writer You're

Yeshua Hamashiach, the perfect promise keeper You are
Father, and Mother, to the orphan and the seeker
You're the Word of God come as a man

- You are the Everlasting God

Comforter to those who sorrow
Promiser of joy tomorrow
- Bringer of peace unshaken
- Keeper of the most forsaken

- You are the shining beacon
When the waves are dark and raging
Your Voice speaks in the storm
- Peace, be, still!

When all the world is sinking sand,
You are the solid rock on which I stand, You are
Hope for the hopeless, Help for the helpless, You are
Everlasting God

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine
oh, what a foretaste of glory divine
Heir of salvation, purchase of God
born of His Spirit, washed in His blood

This is my story, this is my song
praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blest
Watching and waiting, looking above
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love

Father God, Thank You for this time in Your presence. I ask that my words would be glorifying to You. That everything that happens in this place right now will shine Your light and bring others closer to You. I pray this in the name of Your Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, Amen.

Please be seated.

Today in some parts of the world it is Mother’s Day. I hope you have shown appreciation for the mothers in your life. I am not going to speak about mothers today. No, today my fireside chat is on something else.

I’m going to sing a part of a song. Many of you will know it.

((Sing His Eye Is On The Sparrow here))

Yes, the fireside chat is called His Eye Is On The Sparrow. Have you ever seen a sparrow? It isn’t the most beautiful bird. It’s mostly brown in color. It’s small. And Yet, God made this bird!

In Luke chapter 12 verses 6 and 7 reads, “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

In God’s eyes, even sparrows have value. It shows that we are very precious to God. He knows and cares for us more than these.
A week or so ago, it was raining really hard and I could hear the wind. It was storming so hard, but in the midst of the storm I heard something. Birds were singing! It made me smile to hear them because it was their way of praising God even though they were in a storm. It made me realize how courageous they were.

I mean, we can sing about praising God in a storm all we want, but until we are ACTUALLY in a storm and praising Him that’s when the true faith comes to play. Can you sing praise to God even if you are in a storm and everything around you is falling apart? What will you do?

Those birds didn’t sing because they were in a storm. No, they were singing because they were happy, they were free, and they knew who was watching over them.

Though the thunder and the rain is all around. Though I can see lightning in the distance. I know...yes I know He watching me.

((Sing His Eye...again))

It’s time for the altar call. It’s like this. Find a place that is comfortable for you and talk to God just like you would a friend. Confess. Love on Him. Let Him love on you.

If you need someone to pray or if you need ministry, instant message someone on the ministry team. If you would like to leave a message for the pastors, please go to almcyberchurch.org and go to the pastors’ offices. Leave your message there and we will reply as soon as we can.

After this time at the altar, we’ll have a time of fellowship up the stairs to your left. Come join us.

If you need to leave, you are free to do so.

May God Bless you this week.
May He Who watches sparrows show you just how precious you are to Him. For you are His afterall.
