Jesus, Messiah, - our Jehovah Jireh You are
Healer, Redeemer, - Word of God inspirer You are
Alpha, Omega, - You're the story writer You're
Beginning, the ending, - blazing Lord of Fire

Yeshua Hamashiach, the perfect promise keeper You are
Father, and Mother, to the orphan and the seeker
You're the Word of God come as a man
the solid rock on which I stand and
- You are the Everlasting God

Comforter to those who sorrow
Promiser of joy tomorrow
- Bringer of peace unshaken
- Keeper of the most forsaken

- You are the shining beacon
When the waves are dark and raging
Your Voice speaks in the storm
- Peace, be, still!

When all the world is sinking sand,
You are the solid rock on which I stand, You are
Hope for the hopeless, Help for the helpless, You are
Everlasting God

Lord, You've been so good to me
You gave me sight when I was blind
You showed me light I could not see
You brought me truth I could not find

Lord, You've been so good to me
You paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord You've been so good to me!

And so I praise You in the morning
and I praise You in the night
For You are my Salvation
You are my Guiding Light
So I give You my everything
I just can't give You less
When You sent Your Son to love me
You gave me Your best!

Lord, You've been so good to me
You set my feet on solid ground
You rescued my life from the grave
when no other help could be found
Lord, You've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love You gave so freely
Lord, You've been so good to me!

Lord You've been so good to me
Lord You've been so good to me (better than I deserve)
Lord You've been so good to me
You paid a debt I could not pay
You turned my darkest night to day
Lord You've been so good to me

Lord You've been so good to me
Lord You've been so good to me (you're good all the time)
Lord You've been so good to me
and I could never repay
All the love You gave so freely
Lord You've been so good to me

You gave me Your best!
You gave me Your best!

Lord, You've been so good to me.

lyrics by Munster Gesangbuch
music by Schlesische Volkslieder

Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature,
O thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.

Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
robed in the blooming garb of spring:
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer
who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight,
and all the twinkling starry host:
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
than all the angels heaven can boast.

Beautiful Savior! Lord of all the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor, praise, adoration,
now and forevermore be thine.

Father God, thank You for allowing us to be in this place and for showing us the way to You. Thank You for the love You have for us and the opportunity to share that love with others. Whatever happens here may it be to Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Please be seated.

Today's fireside chat is short. It is titled "Hands and feet." Most of us have two hands and two feet. There are some of us that do not have two of them or even any of them. But I am not talking about our physical hands and feet, per say. What I am talking is us, The body of Christ Jesus, being His hands and His feet to those around us.

Some of us have jobs. We help customers. We never see another person. There are way during our days that we can be Jesus' hands and feet.

Now, I can already hear some of you say things like: "But Mari, that's your job. If you didn't do that, you would get fired." Or maybe "You're just sharing these things to make yourself look good."

To both of these, I say I do not just do things to keep my job. I do not say things to get brownie points, either. I do things because I want to show others I care about them. It does not take long to do. Just say "Hello. How are you today?" It isn't that difficult.

Sometimes, though, being the hands and feet of Jesus is hard. We are pressed for time. We don't know what to do for the other person. That's when we need to ask ourselves "What would be the best thing to do? How would I like to be treated?"

Story time :)

This has happened more than once at work. A customer comes up and asks if we carry a certain item. I know we do, but the store has been rearranged recently and I am not sure where the item is.
Today, a lady wanted to know if we carried vacuums. I knew I might and so I asked a co-worker. She said we did but was unsure of where they were. I did find the vacuums for the customer. It made me feel good to be able to help the customer. Sure it was my job. I was on my way to clock out for the day. I could have handed her over to someone else, but I didn't. To me, that is an example of being the hands and feet of Jesus.

I order to be the hands and feet of Jesus we do not need to do something extravagant. We just need to be willing to help someone.

You know, I have seen people who I don't know if they follow Jesus or not care for other people.

We can all be nice to each other. We can show respect and care. It cost nothing to give smiles.

But you know, it cost Jesus something to show His love for us. You or I were not even born yet. He didn't really know in the sense that He had not seen our faces. And for us to be His hands and feet...to show the world what He was really like. Not this Jesus that some show who throws the stone. Or who ignores. Or who (fill in the blank).

Jesus, to me, is so much more than what I could know or comprehend with my mind. And I know that the things you or I may do in the future as His hands and feet will be more than we could imagine.

If I could hold Jesus' hand as I walk my city, I wonder what we would find. I wonder how many times we would stop to help others. Maybe it is time for us to ask Jesus to walk with us in our towns, cities, and countries. To help us find those to whom we can be His hands and feet.

I am going to end this fireside chat. The altar call is very simple.

Ask God to show you the people around you that need help. Some you may not be able to help alone, but try it. Try and see what happens. Then, I want you to make note of it. Not to brag or gloat. But to remember what you did and praise God for the opportunity to be Jesus' hands and feet.

Let's pray that God will help us be Jesus' hands and feet to those around us.

If you need prayer or ministry, please instant message one of us on the staff team. You can also contact the pastors by going to almcyberchurch.org and click the pastors' offices. Leave a message for us (the pastors) and we will reply as soon as we can.

Whenever you need to do so, you are free to leave.

Everyone is invited to join us for fellowship in the room up the stairs to your left after this time at the altar. We have a fun time chatting there. So come and join us, please.

May God bless you this week. May He give you Jesus' hands and feet to help those around you.
